ITINOCHI is an historical documentary/drama on the intriguing journey of the Ebira Cloth. It traces the origins of weaving, how it has sustained homes & communities for generations; and explores its immense contributions to defining the cultural identity of the Ebira people in Nigeria. From its ancient ceremonial use in funerals and traditional masquerades to beautifying many modern ceremonies, the Ebira cloth has been studied by notable intellectuals, used by international designers and has found its place on the world stage including The British Museum and Sotheby's.


ITA'I - OUR CLOTH is a cloth WEAVING social enterprise, textile fashion home brand ROOTED in OKENE with operations in Lagos, Nigeria & New York City. Founded in 2019, this global brand with a home-felt impact is dedicated to bringing a modern approach to preserving, presenting and promoting Africa’s cultural heritage through the woven cloth

Theme: GHANA FREEDOM In the presence of Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, First Lady of Ghana and Mrs Barbara Otteng Gyasi Ghana's Minster for Culture, the first Ghana Pavilion at the Biennale Arte 2019, entitled Ghana Freedom, examines the legacies and trajectories of Ghanaian recent history, its contemporary culture and its diasporas through work by six artists, across three generations. The exhibition include large-scale installations by El Anatsui and Ibrahim Mahama; representation and portraiture by historical photographer Felicia Abban and painter Lynette Yiadom-Boakye; and a three-channel film projection by John Akomfrah and video sculpture by Selasi Awusi Sosu. OKENE March 5 - 10 2018 Ohueje Ohinoyi is a cultural festival that brings together all of Ebira Tao people of the Kogi Central area of Kogi State, Nigeria. It is aimed at presenting and promoting all that define Ebira people, without altering its originality. The 5-day festival included traditional displays of woven cloth, dance troupes and masquerades.

June 14, 2017 In partnership with the United States African Development Foundation, Ajima Farms launched Waste2Watt project with the commissioning of the Rije grid station. The vision of the transforming off-grid communities by expanding energy access came to life. Developed by Ajima Farms Kuje, Waste-2-Watt (W2W) is a renewable energy project generating 20kw of electricity and distributing via mini-grid to approximately 550 individuals in the rural off-grid community of Rije, Abuja. The approach is using a bio-gas digester to convert agricultural and communal waste (poultry, livestock, crop waste, kitchen & human wastes) into electricity & cooking fuel, for off-grid farming communities in Nigeria.

Ayetoro was formed in 1996 by Nigerian Composer and piano player Funsho Ogundipe. This band defines the sound of modern afrobeat. Ogundipe is a jazz influenced musicians and his compositions and sounds have twice changed peoples perceptions of afrobeat in Nigeria. In 1996, his album Naija Blues was the first to experiment with Afro jazz and Hip hop when he featured Nigerian Film star and former rapper J T West on “J T’s Tale.”

For the last two decade since the advent of Cable TV in Nigeria, over 300,000 subscribers have enjoyed the benefits of a wider range of programmes produced locally and internationally. The Cable TV providers have provided a service for families, sit-at-home individuals and even places of business like bars that screen exclusive programs such as reality shows, soccer matches with the Premiership, the League and European Cup that enjoy a large follower-ship in Nigeria. Cable providers in Nigeria like DStv, HiTv, TrendTv and DAARSAT are licensed by the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation to transmit and broadcast a large variety of programmes at different times which are suitable for different audiences. Although this is a problem seen across Nigeria, the highest number of culprits is concentrated in the southern and eastern parts of Nigeria. An initial report was carried out in commercial cities like Awka in Anambra State and Warri, Delta State, where looped piracy is not only common but is NOT even considered illegal by a large majority of its subscribers.
